NEWS: GREENSMES officially launched at the kick-off meeting in Bari
After a series of online preliminary sessions, held on October 11th, 2024 and October 25th, 2024, GREENSMES project was officially launched at the kick-off meeting in BALAB Contamination Lab University of Bari “Aldo Moro”, Centro Polifunzionale Studenti, Bari, Italy. Kick-off meeting was organized as the hybrid event on 12th of November 2024 by the lead project partner TECNOPOLIS STP.
By meeting in person in Bari, project partners’ representatives had the chance to strengthen their cooperation plans to achieve this initial result.
Prior to detailed discussion of the project activities, project partners were welcomed by Annamaria Annicchiarico, General Director – LP TNO and Davide De Nicolò, Chief Project Officer – LP TNO while Anna Ressa, Project Officer – LP TNO presented GREENSMES project in a nutshell.
October online sessions contributed greatly to the success of the kick-off meeting, as the partners had the opportunity to share their skills and the information regarding the most recent projects in which they are involved and whose capitalization could be an added value for GREENSMES. It also gave the opportunity to the Work package (WP) leaders to present in detail the activities and deliverables planned. The days that passed between the first and second online sessions were useful for collecting ideas and generating requests for clarification and further information so as to better define the subtasks of each activity.
Applying this specific methodology, set by Lead Partner TECNOPOLIS STP, each Steering committee and Project partners’ meeting will have two sessions; the first one online to discuss the agenda, propose decision options, to analyse technical aspects by using online collaborative tools, and the following one on-site to allow networking activities and meeting the local stakeholders beyond project partnership in order to transfer knowledge and to identify new shared needs, lessons learned and new best practices to be capitalized within and beyond the current project.
This methodology was developed by the TECNOPOLIS STP, during the CCI4TOURISM project, where it was acknowledged that exchange visits are meaningful in terms of networking, experiencing diverse cultures and territories, establishing new collaborations with a wide range of organizations and – as a result – to boost capitalization and generate new project ideas.
