NEWS: 2nd Project Meeting of the GREENSMES project held in Thessaloniki, Greece

Following the successful kick-off meeting in Bari, GREENSMES project partners gathered for the second project meeting on February 6th in Thessaloniki, at KEPA premises, Hellenic Design Centre. The meeting started with a debriefing on the results of the Learning Exchange Visit, where partners shared their experiences and impressions on the visits.

Through presentations and discussions on the work packages, participants received an initial overview of the “D1.1.2 Joint report on the state of play of green economy and innovation at project level”, based on desk research. In the context of WP2 (Transnational Green Innovation Capacity Building and Networking), the discussion centered on the steps towards strengthening transnational cooperation and capacity building in green innovation.

For WP3 (Green Innovation upscaling and piloting), partners engaged in an in-depth discussion on the necessary steps for implementing GREENSMES pilot actions through a voucher scheme. The session provided valuable input for shaping the upcoming activities and refining the implementation approach.

A segment of the meeting was also dedicated to management activities, with Ivan Delchev, Project Officer of Interreg IPA ADRION Joint Secretariat, joining online to provide recommendations for the first reporting in the JEMS system and to clarify procedures and timelines for minor project modifications.

This meeting further strengthened collaboration among partners and set concrete steps toward achieving project goals, while fostering knowledge exchange and best practice sharing
