NEWS: Tecnopolis to Showcase GREENSMES at the Innovation Fair 2025 in Brussels!
We are thrilled to announce that Tecnopolis Science and Technology Park, the Lead Partner of the GREENSMES project, has been selected to participate in the prestigious Innovation Fair 2025 on October 23, 2025, in Brussels.
The Innovation Fair, a high-level hybrid event organized in a collaborative effort by the European Union (EU), the African Union (AU), and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) , is a significant platform for implementing major regional policy initiatives on Research and Innovation (R&I), including the AU-EU Innovation Agenda and the New Pact for the Mediterranean.
Under the running theme “Enabling that step forward” , Tecnopolis will participate in Part 2 of the Pitching Session , which is dedicated to Business Support Organisations (BSOs), presenting its mission to foster innovation ecosystems and address critical gaps in green innovation capacity across the EU-Mediterranean region.
As an Incubator, Accelerator, and Innovation Hub fully owned by the University of Bari, the pitch will focus on Tecnopolis Unique Approach showcasing how our certified EU|BIC status and university ownership enable us to translate academic research into practical green business development expertise.
In addition to delivering a 2-minute pitch, Tecnopolis will also host a booth at the afternoon exhibition (2:45–5:00 PM). Policy makers, innovators, investors, and researchers to connect to discuss how we can collectively advance the green transition agenda.
- GREENSMES Impact: Highlighting the project’s work in coordinating 10 partners from 9 countries to strengthen green innovation capacities across the Adriatic-Ionian region; GREENSMES aims to be a model for SME green transformation, sharing tools and connecting with stakeholders to expand partnerships and scale project’s impact
- End-to-End Support: Presenting the comprehensive support GREENSMES delivers, including a transnational roster of green experts, capacity-building programs, and voucher schemes for pilot implementations in Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) sectors like energy, ICT, and smart mobility.
