NEWS: GREENSMES at the Transferability Conference in Stuttgart: Advancing Green Skills for SMEs

On 4 February 2026, the Transferability Conference was held in Stuttgart, bringing together representatives from eight EU-funded projects, experts from the cultural and creative sectors, and stakeholders from tourism and SMEs. The conference provided a platform to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and explore future pathways for skills development, capacity building, and sustainable practices.

Among the projects showcased, AGRRA (PP4), the communication leader of the GREENSMES project, represented the partnership and presented the project’s objectives, key activities, and achievements to date. The presentation highlighted how GREENSMES supports SMEs in developing green competencies, implementing sustainable practices, and fostering innovation.

AGRRA also contributed to the panel discussion Making Transformation Reach People, sharing perspectives on how GREENSMES ensures effective knowledge transfer to end-users. The discussion focused on practical approaches to extending the project’s impact beyond its duration, strengthening capacities, and promoting sustainable business models within SMEs.

The conference featured interactive workshops and panels addressing emerging skills in green, digital, and creative sectors, alongside stakeholder testimonials on the tangible impact of skills development in practice. Project-led sessions offered hands-on experiences, further reinforcing GREENSMES’ commitment to sustainable innovation and skills development for SMEs.

The Transferability Conference highlighted GREENSMES’ role as a strong example of how green skills, sustainability, and innovation can be effectively integrated into SMEs, demonstrating the potential of EU-funded projects to deliver practical and transferable solutions for businesses and communities.
